This Wave House suite offers a stunning panorama of the Pacific Ocean and the California Coast through its expansive bank of windows, creating a light-filled, serene retreat. Please note that these large windows also bring in abundant sunshine, which can warm the space during the spring and summer. While the suite does not have air conditioning, we provide a portable fan for your comfort. Additionally, opening the balcony door invites the cool ocean breeze into the room, offering natural ventilation and enhancing the sensory experience of being by the sea. This was a wonderful place right across the street from the beach, with a balcony to sit outside and listen to the ocean. Comfy king bed and huge bathroom so it feels very spacious. There is also a very large common room for guests downstairs - great place to go to get a little work done which I had to do. The place was quiet and safe despite being right on the beach - the street out front is mostly walking and bike traffic so it's very pleasant. Hosts were terrific, easy and quick to communicate with, and made us some awesome treats throughout our stay which was unexpected and very much appreciated.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. I will keep coming back. The view alone is worth the price. I was welcomed with a bottle of wine and tasty snacks of fresh fruit and dessert in the evening and warm pastries in the morning. The bath tub is super large and I could ease my tired muscles with a luxurious bath. I enjoyed the sound of the waves and the restaurant nearby had crab cakes and clam chowder that I could take back to the room. Ruth and Paul were such gracious hosts I had everything I needed and more. I love the Wave House!

The house is beautiful with an amazing view and comfortable bed. Ruth and Paul could not be a better host, they anticipate all your needs. With special little treats and surprises throughout your stay. We will definitely be back again.

We had an AMAZING stay at the Wave House , Oceanfront Retreat!! This place has the closest waterfront room that we could find and it did not disappoint! The view was beautiful from the room and balcony! Ruth and Paul were the most generous and friendly hosts we have ever encountered! They gave wonderful advice on things to do, places to eat and surprised us with the yummiest snacks and breakfasts… and made my birthday trip extra special! I HIGHLY recommend a visit to Half Moon Bay and a stay at the Wave House!! We are hoping to go back again someday! Randy & Sherri

The view was amazing, the sound of the waves overnight sounded like you were sleeping on the beach. We spotted multiple whales, dolphins, and sea lions from our bed. Ruth was amazing and dropped off warm baked goods and had a complimentary bottle of wine in the room. It’s a really great spot.

We have been coming to Half Moon Bay for 15 years and have stayed in many places. This is by far the best accommodation to date. The location is a stone's throw from the ocean with crashing waves that lull you off to sleep. You can see the entire cost line. The unit has a nice balcony to gaze at the view, watch the sea lions frolic, and people-watch. The bed was comfortable and large and you could see the ocean through the massive windows without even getting out of bed. The room was clean and nicely decorated. There is a small fridge, microwave, and a Keurig coffee maker. The owner / hosts (Ruth & Paul) left a pint of milk in the fridge and some sparkling water, and a some k-cups. It was our anniversary weekend and we were surprised by a nice bottle of champagne upon arrival. Each evening and morning, they left some treats outside our door (fresh-baked cookies, fresh fruit, fresh muffins, mixed nuts). The communication was excellent. They reached out to us the day before we arrived offering early check-in. Then on our last morning, they offered us a late check-out. These were wonderful surprises. The bathroom is spacious with a big jetting tub for two. There were guests staying in the other rooms but I never saw a soul. It was so peaceful and felt very private. We will absolutely stay here in the future and feel so lucky to have stumbled across this little slice of costside paradise. Thank you, Ruth and Paul, for a wonderful weekend.

Wonderful spacious room with 2 person soaking tub. Fell asleep to the sound of Pacific ocean waves every night. Short walk to beach. Amazing view! Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was perfect. The bed was super cozy and comfortable. Ruth was super nice and friendly left us a few goodies. Everything made the weekend perfect!
