Breathtaking Oceanfront Penthouse and Suites at Half Moon Bay

Ruth and Paul went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, their kindness and thoughtfulness were evident. They left special treats that made us feel genuinely welcomed and appreciated — every detail felt intentional. The Airbnb itself was exactly as listed — clean, comfortable, and full of charm — and the surrounding area offered so much to do and explore. Whether we were relaxing at the property or adventuring nearby, everything about the experience was effortless and restorative. We’re so grateful for the care they put into making this feel like more than just a stay. Truly a gift. Thank you!

Amazing view! Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was perfect. The bed was super cozy and comfortable. Ruth was super nice and friendly left us a few goodies. Everything made the weekend perfect!

My husband and I were celebrating our 31 anniversary. I was looking for a place where I could listen to the ocean. This certainly met that criteria. The room is beautiful, the bed was excellent, and the hosts are truly friendly and take great care of you. They even provided the best, piping hot snacks and drinks (including wine). We loved our stay, and may come back one day.

Paul and Ruth are wonderful hosts and the property was above and beyond our expectations. The whale watching was unexpected and delightful! Wonderful recommendations for restaurants and we greatly appreciated the thoughtful snacks and beverages provided upon our arrival. I’m looking forward to coming back and staying in their wonderful abode. Five stars!

Six stars if I could. The sound of the ocean was wonderful. The view was entertaining with all the people walking along the coastal path, and also very private. These hosts are warm and kind and thoughtful. It was a lovely experience to receive their hospitality. They were available and communicated clearly and I never saw or heard them-an amazing balance. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable. Parking is easy. It's a really wonderful retreat space. Fun shopping and food are near by, and you can also just stay in the room and enjoy a book or a cup of tea. I look forward to coming back for all the reasons.

I highly recommend this suite - it looks just like the pictures, is right next to the ocean, and is very peaceful. Plenty of wildlife - I saw seals and dolphins. Suite is clean and beautiful. Ruth and Paul are phenomenal hosts. They were responsive and kind, and I felt they genuinely cared that I had a good experience. They gave me recs for the area and let me know when dolphins were swimming by! 10/10 all around.

The place was beautiful! It was close to restaurants and a walking/bike trail. Paul and Ruth were wonderful as they added so many special touches….sending us messages everyday, providing delicious snacks and breakfast. They were very responsive when I sent them a message. I can’t wait to go back!

I meant to stay here overnight, but I quickly realized I was willing to commute 1hr to my office in the Bay Area from this beautiful spot. This is on a quiet one way road. Amazing sunset views. I loved falling asleep to sound of the ocean. The bed was super comfortable, and while it is just a room (with an amazing view) and bathroom; the host setup a refrigerator, microwave, Keurig, has real coffee cups, glasses and plates to use. The bathroom is very nice. I really appreciated the large bathtub and great design. Nice touches like a seashell as a soap dish, as well as high quality soap, shampoo and conditioner for me. Ruth would leave a light breakfast or evening snack, which I enjoyed.

I had a wonderful stay for Mother’s day weekend here! The place was absolutely stunning, everything was clean, the balcony had an amazing view of the ocean, and the bed was super comfortable. Paul and Ruth went above and beyond during our stay with extra goodies, thoughtful gestures, and were incredibly responsive. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to be at. It was very peaceful at night listening to the ocean and overall is a peaceful community to stay at. Highly recommend if this spot has made your list for potential places to stay, we are already looking into our next time here!

Ruby and Paul were the perfect host. Ruby went out of her way to make us comfortable. She checked in with us regularly to ensure everything was going well. I highly recommend this place.
